The latest report highlighted the government’s failure to deliver evidence that it was trying to reverse the decline in bus use. Madaline Dunn reports

On 22 May the Transport Select Committee published the ‘Bus Services in England outside London’ report, which called for urgent government action to reverse the decline in bus usage.

The members present at the committee meeting included Lillian Greenwood, in the chair, Ruth Cadbury, Huw Merridan, Grahame Morris and Daniel Zeichner, who gave a damning report on the apparent inaction of the government to provide comprehensive and effective measures to improve bus services in Great Britain.
