The Temsa MD9 has been available in the UK since 2016, but Arriva Bus and Coach has now renamed one variation to draw attention to its capacity. Richard Sharman takes a look at the MD9 Max to see why it has had success over the last few years, and what it has to offer operators
The Turkish-built Temsa MD9 is a common site on the roads of the UK, particularly in London and major tourist areas such as Oxford, Windsor Castle and Stonehenge.
Phil Hennessey, Head of Communications at Arriva Bus and Coach explained: “The 39-seater has been available since 2016, but we thought that now was the time to make clear what the offerings for the MD9 were. The standard interior was upgraded last year to feature half-leather seats and a wood-effect floor, USB ports at every seat and carbon fibre armrests, which elevated the standard. That resulted in us having a great show at the NEC last year for Temsa. It’s a really good product, and we thought it was time to highlight the fact that there is a 39-seat option available.” […]
