Stagecoach Manchester started operating route 147 from Manchester Piccadilly rail station to West Didsbury after the expiry of a contract previous held by Bullocks Coaches. A Magic Bus route, it operates along the Oxford Road past the University of Manchester, Manchester Metropolitan University, Royal College of Music and central Manchester hospitals.
