A group of campaigners from protest group Reclaim the Power blocked the gates of Hallmark Connections’ Heathrow depot on 29 July, according to My London News. The group alleges that the company is ‘enabling government deportations,’ and that people are being secretly shipped out of the country by coaches operated by Hallmark Connections.

Pictures show protesters suspended from tripods blocking access to the site, demanding that the company end its contracts with the government department responsible.

In a statement issued by Hallmark Connections, the company said: “The demonstration concluded after seven hours and normal site access resumed shortly after 1300hrs. Although peaceful, the police were present during the entirety. We provided the activists with water for their comfort during the hot weather.”

With regards to the transport of immigrants on behalf of the government, the company declined to comment, stating that “we do not comment on elements of our business due to client privilege and will make no further comment.”
