An event meant to share memories of much-missed North East independent operator Economic was cancelled the evening before it was due to happen due to severe weather.
The Economic Jamboree was due to take place in the operator’s home village of Whitburn, South Tyneside and as well as former Economic vehicles running on heritage routes the Stagecoach-sponsored event was to include live bands and other attractions well into the evening of Saturday 10 August.
