The Royal Alfred Seafarers Society has taken delivery of its new model Euro VI Mercedes-Benz Sprinter VS30 EVM High Floor Accessible 16-seater from EVM.
The new Mercedes-Benz Euro VI 516 CDi is based on an extra-long wheelbase chassis. Transmission is a seven-speed G-Tronic automatic gearbox. The vehicle was delivered in Mercedes-Benz Steel Blue and has colour matched EVM body moulded side skirts, bumpers, side mouldings and grille.
Entry into the saloon is through a powered plug entry door. There are 16 EVM Executive 110 seats finished in real leather with reclining back rests. Six of the 16 seats are fitted on NMI quick release brackets, the wood effect floor being tracked to accommodate wheelchairs. A PLS under-floor wheelchair lift is fitted at the rear with an LED light over the rear doors for wheelchair loading.
Passengers benefit from EVM Panoramic double-glazed saloon side windows, which are in privacy grey. Passenger comfort is provided by Eberspacher EV814 14kW saloon air conditioning, ducted through the rack and exiting through passenger service units. Convector heaters running in two areas of the saloon forward with thermostat control.
