The Guild of British Coach Operators has announced that Dews Coaches of Somersham has been accepted into membership.
Guild Chairman Nigel Skill commented: “We are delighted to welcome another successful and respected operator into the Guild, lifting our membership to 26 companies.
“We look forward to them participating fully in the Guild’s activities as we continue to share best practice and showcase excellence in coach travel.”

Now in its 35th year, the Guild promotes and markets the services of its members, all of whom commit to meeting the highest quality standards, assured by regular independent audits. Prospective members have to achieve a 100% pass before being accepted into the Guild. The Guild is also registered as a Driver CPC training centre, giving members access to a suite of courses specifically designed for the coach industry.
Dews Coaches was established in 1953 by the company’s founder, Ron W. Dew. He built the business up through hard work and dedicated service to his customers and was responsible for instilling a simple philosophy that has remained at the heart of the company: ‘Let’s do it well.’
Based at Somersham in Cambridgeshire, Dews operates a mix of tour and private hire coaches, local bus services and education contracts.
