No offence intended but when a coach manufacturer proffers corporate marketing material bearing a convenient two-word self-appraisal of superior design expertise, it is right that the fruit of that assertion – its product – should become the subject of independent verification.

For the time being, then, let us ignore the indisputable fact that Spanish firm Industrial Carrocera Arbuciense SA – better known by its branding portmanteau of Indcar – can trace its transport manufacturing roots back to 1888. It was formed in that year by Francisco Queralt Roca, who chose a site near Girona to build passenger carriages and stagecoaches.
