ADL introduced the Enviro400ER (Electric Range) hybrid. The vehicle was developed with BAE Systems and uses geofencing technology to switch to pure electric mode when crossing set boundaries, such as when entering city centres. Brighton & Hove Buses is the first operator to order the new vehicle, with a fleet of 30 now in service. ANDY IZATT
