Bristol-based Abus has been operating in the city since 1991, but as we move into 2020 operating conditions are changing, leading to operations being scaled back. Richard Sharman visited Bristol to talk to the man behind the operation

Bristol is a bus operating area that is dominated by two of the big five bus groups. But amongst the sea of corporate liveried buses in Bristol, the Abus livery of white, cream and maroon has stood the test of time. It is now the city’s last bastion of independent bus operation, running a frequent Monday to Saturday interurban public bus service into the centre.
