Managing Director is disqualified after serious maintenance issues found, along with a lack of financial standing
Kevin Rooney, Traffic Commissioner (TC) for the Western Traffic Area, has revoked the O-licence held by Dealtop (Plymouth) Ltd – trading as Target Travel – with effect from 16 February 2020.
Because of the home to school transport which will require replacement operation, the TC said he would consider an application supported by the local authority to extend the revocation date at a lower level of authority until 30 March 2020, though appropriate checks on vehicle safety would be required.
Managing Director Robert Risk was disqualified from holding or obtaining an O-licence or being involved in the management, administration or control of the transport operations of an entity that holds or obtains such a licence in Great Britain with effect from 17 February 2020 for a period of two years. Dealtop (Plymouth) Ltd was also disqualified from holding or obtaining an O-licence, including through shareholding of another entity that holds or obtains an O-licence, for the same period. No disqualification was made against director Lee Risk.
The good repute of transport managers Tristan Kelly and Ashley Taylor was unblemished.
