Rainham-based The Swallow Coach Company has gone into administration.
The company had a Standard International licence to operate 20 vehicles from its depot on Fairview Industrial Park, Rainham.
The message on the company’s website reads:
“It is with great sadness that I am to advise you that the Swallow Coach Company will be passed to administrators after the close of business on Tuesday 31st March, 2020.”
“The last day of operation on our contracted services 13, 61 and 133 will be the same date. For updates on these routes please contact Essex County Council Passenger Transport Team.”
“This decision was not taken lightly, however given the current situation with Coronavirus and the renewal of our insurances due on 1st April, we feel that the decision to cease trading has been made for us.”
