Northamptonshire-based Duoflex LTD is to close, they were well known throughout the industry for the reupholstering and refurbishment of all types passenger carrying vehicle types.
Owners Steve Green and Damian Green told CBW: “Sadly after over 30 years of trading we have decided to close our doors for the final time. Whilst the coronavirus crisis is causing difficulties for many company’s our situation is very acute as we are linked to the leisure industry.
“We have seen our healthy order book of some 4-5 weeks plus advance orders for May and June all cancelled virtually in days . It is our considered view that when coach company’s do eventually return to work that the last thing they will be considering is having their coaches trimmed.
“On that basis we can see no way forward in 2020 and it’s because of this we have decided to take this tough commercial decision to close down the business. We are personally devastated by having to take this action but know it’s the right decision. Thank you for your support over the years.”
