Two different companies have painted buses into retro-inspired LCBS liveries for what would have been the operator’s 50th year, reports Nick Larkin

Both a major bus group and a Kent independent have outshopped buses in London Country Bus Services (LCBS) guise to mark 50 years since the formation of the operator. Formed from the Country Area of London Transport, National Bus Company subsidiary ran a vast network of services in an area around and into the capital before it was split into four following deregulation.
