How about visiting a legendary London tramway that closed in 1952 – from the comfort of your own sofa?
The Kingsway Tramway Subway in Holborn was opened in 1906 and was later upgraded so that it could be used by double-deck trams. Although part of the subway was used is now part of the Strand Underpass, the rest, including the Southampton Row entrance has remained remarkably intact right down to the tram tracks.
