Scania has chosen Stertil Koni as its preferred global supplier of heavy duty vehicle lifting equipment for the next three years. Stertil Koni said that the contract represents a winning partnership between two successful companies that are specialists in their respective fields. Scania has committed to a strategy for growth based on a shift towards sustainable transport systems and the electrification of the vehicles it designs and manufactures, a strategy it sees as a crucial element of the company’s ongoing journey, and Stertil Koni has been chosen as the global preferred supplier and partner because of its shared commitment to Scania’s forward vision.
Stertil Koni has more than 35 years of experience in designing and manufacturing a comprehensive range of vehicle lifts and equipment at its production facility at Kootsterille in the Netherlands. With many shared goals regarding eco-engineered lifting solutions for ergonomic and efficient vehicle maintenance and repair, Stertil Koni and Scania say they will continue to strive for the highest standards in providing safe, high quality environmentally-conscious solutions to the worldwide transport industry.
The Global Contract Agreement covers the supply of two models from a comprehensive range of vehicle lifts: Stertil Koni Mobile Column Vehicle Lift models ST 1075 (7,500kg – 16,500lbs per column) and ST 1085 (8,500kg – 18,500lbs per column) and with up to 32 columns in a single configuration if required. Stertil Koni will also supply several other essential vehicle lifting accessories. Keeping important commercial vehicles up and running, increasing productivity and contributing to safe and ergonomic sustainable working equipment, is what the partners say they are aiming for.
Stertil Koni mobile columns offer maximum versatility and flexibility due to being both mobile and wireless which means that they can easily be moved around the workshop and stored effectively. In common with all Stertil Koni heavy duty vehicle lifts, the company’s latest mobile column lifts are equipped with the advanced and patented safety features. The manufacturer says they are easy and intuitive to operate, due to the intelligent ebright Smart Control System, which incorporates a 7-inch touch screen control, making operation simple and providing useful monitoring and diagnostics information for optimum usage efficiency, as well as being user/owner-configurable for absolute safety and precise control.
Pehr Andersson, Sourcing Manager at Scania Group, said: “Our suppliers are vital for us to be able to drive the shift towards more sustainable transport systems and Stertil Koni has all the right attributes to help us on this journey. We are happy to have signed a global agreement with Stertil Koni and we look forward to a long and successful relationship.”
