Nick Larkin reports on a road run event organised by the Glasgow Vintage Vehicle Trust, recreating a 1970s city circular route

Twenty classic buses and coaches toured Glasgow City Centre as a reminder of a 1970s route. The Centre Circle Day was run by the Glasgow Vintage Vehicle Trust with the intention of getting some of its own collection and privately owned machines out on the road.

Buses operated from 1100 to 1600hrs on 24 October on the circular former Greater Glasgow PTE route taking in Sauchiehall Street, Cowcaddens Road, Cathedral Street, High Street, Clyde Street and St Vincent Street.
