This year’s UK Coach Rally in Blackpool, due to take place on 10 and 11 April, has been cancelled, organisers Coach Displays Ltd have announced.
The organisers said in a statement: “It is with deep sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the cancellation of this year’s UK Coach Rally in Blackpool. This is due to the uncertainty from the UK Government over the continuation of the lockdown, possibly continuing into and beyond March, plus recent news of other major events held at the same time being cancelled.
“We know that this will come as an enormous disappointment to the competitors, exhibitors, industry professionals, visitors, judges and marshals who were due to attend. This is not a decision we have taken lightly. As we’re sure you’re already aware, the coronavirus pandemic means that it continues to be vital to limit social contact and avoid gathering. Plus the forward planning, bookings & commitments necessary for the event, means we have had to make this decision earlier rather than later.”
