A new consumer campaign to promote coach tours and excursions has been launched by the Coach Tourism Association (CTA). The campaign will run under the umbrella branding ‘WeLoveCoaches’. The CTA says that the theme provides a simple and effective branding that is equally relevant to both its operator and supplier members.

The CTA explained that the WeLoveCoaches campaign has a particular focus on social media and video, alongside providing tools and resources for use directly by members which are supporting the campaign by using the logo and sharing content on their own social media channels.
The core messages of the campaign are: coach travel is back; coaches are safe, fun and social; and coaches are ready and waiting to take people on a great UK trip or holiday.

A new portal website ‘welovecoaches.com’ is a core element of the campaign and has replaced the former findacoachholiday website. It is now operational and includes details of coach and tour operator members. CTA operator members have a listing on the website with full contact details, social media links, images, and current video clips. The CTA said that the new site provides a simple way for consumers to easily find an operator by county location. The key ‘call to action’ is a link to operator members’ websites, and there are also direct links to members’ social media channels.

The CTA’s campaign has enlisted the support of social media specialists Cariad Marketing and is initially focussed on promoting coach tourism on Facebook and Instagram.
