The latest London bus tendering results have been announced, with Abellio West London securing two contracts from Metroline West
As part of the announcement, the U5 and 350 services have been restructured. Their present routes have been swapped between Hayes and Stockley Park. The current contact on the U5 ceases from April 29 and is one of the two contracts Abellio has secured from Metroline, while the 350 (also operated by Abellio) does not have its contract due yet.
The U5 contract will become the 350, with PVR five, utilising new Euro 6 single-deckers. The existing 350 contract has been ‘varied’ to run as the U5 instead, using existing double-deckers. Abellio also secured the 195, which will use new Euro 6 single-deckers (PVR 15) from April 15.
Metroline retained three contracts, the 143 (2010 Euro 5 single-deckers, PVR 14, June 24), the 260 (new Euro 6 hybrid double-deckers, PVR 18, June 24) and the 302 (new Euro 6 hybrid double-deckers, PVR 17, June 24).
