Adventure Travel and trade union Unite Wales say they are happy to confirm that a Recognition and Collective Bargaining Agreement was signed on a voluntary basis from 14 May following positive and collaborative discussions, and represents strong desire to work in the spirit of social partnership.
General Manager for Adventure Travel Cerianne Cullen said: “We are delighted to welcome Unite Wales to Adventure Travel and our fantastic team here in Wales. This is a great opportunity for us to build on our credentials as employer of choice in the area and we look forward to building our social partnership.”
Unite Regional Officer Alan McCarthy added: “Our members in Adventure Travel will be delighted that this agreement has been achieved. It has been a long-standing aspiration of workers to achieve collective bargaining and consultation with their employer through established Unite structures and they feel this puts them on an equal footing with their peers in other major bus operators in Wales. This plays an important part in the future of the bus industry in Wales and is an important step for all parties involved.”
