As the franchising debate raged in Greater Manchester, OneBus, an organisation representing the city’s bus operators, unveiled a £100m ‘partnership blueprint.’ Amongst other commitments, operators said they would invest in 450 new vehicles, the first 150 of which would be delivered in 2020, in return for measures from the authorities such as an action plan to tackle congestion.
