Anthony’s Travel has revealed it placed two vehicle orders at this year’s Euro Bus Expo: a 12.2m MAN Neoplan Tourliner and an MAN Barbi Galileo team coach.

Explaining the thinking behind the orders, Richard Bamber, Managing Partner of Anthony’s Travel, said: “With the increased emphasis on Euro VI vehicles, the fluctuating residual value of Euro IV/V and uncertainty of the reliability of retrofit exhaust emission systems – along with the high cost of purchasing the equipment – it made better long-term sense to continue to upgrade our fleet and take advantage of some of the offers currently available.

“Whilst we did consider other manufacturers, we have a great relationship with MAN and BASE Coach Sales, stretching back over 14 years.

“Although we possibly could have saved a bit more money elsewhere, the aftersales service we receive from both parties is superb and nothing is too much trouble.

“Both BASE and MAN understand my company, our business ethos and are genuinely a pleasure to deal with.”
