“He will be greatly missed by colleagues, customers and the wider industry. We wish Arthur a long and very happy retirement.”

Arthur began his commercial career in the early 1970s selling vans and trucks in central Scotland before joining Cowie Group as Truck Sales Manager. Following general manager roles within the Ford Motor Company dealer network and a large DAF franchised operation, Arthur secured increasing responsibility with Renault Trucks UK, culminating in 1996 in leadership of the entire Renault truck sales operation through the dealer network across the UK and Ireland.

His career with Alexander Dennis began in 2005, where he took on the role of Aftermarket Director, and transitioned into the role of UK Sales Director in 2009 and since then has led his team to achieve and sustain leadership of the UK bus market with a market share of over 50%.
