South West Cornwall’s Portbyhan Hotel Looe, owned by Edwards Coaches of South Wales, won the award for the best Commercial Renovation/ Redevelopment in the UK.

The renovation project, which was headed by TGL Property and Project Manager Colin Crabb with lead architect Steve Huckstep, was seen as a great success in the local area. With the focus firmly set on involving the local community, the food, infrastructure and the staff are all from the town of Looe and surrounding areas.

The hotel has successfully received a TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence, a 5 Star Food Hygiene award and an overall 3 Star Visit England rating, all within the first year of operating.
