Bakers Dolphin provided six coaches to assist with the running of the day and transported walkers to starting points in Wells and Cheddar before they began their trek back to the finish line at Weston Cricket Club, with four possible routes across the Mendips, covering distances of either five, 10, 20 or 30 miles.

The participants raised around £48,000. Bakers Dolphin Sales and Marketing Director Amanda Harrington said: “We have supported the Mendip Challenge on behalf of Weston Hospicecare for a number of years now and it is always a fantastic, heartwarming event which raises such vital funds for this charity. As a Weston-super-Mare business, Weston Hospicecare has a special place in our hearts and we’re pleased to be a part of this annual challenge.”
