BDoY moves to Imperial Hotel

For the first time in since relocating to Blackpool almost 40 years ago, the prestigious National Final of the UK Bus Driver of the Year (BDoY) competition has a new headquarters. This year the event will be based at the iconic Imperial Hotel on Blackpool’s North Promenade.

Having welcomed royalty, politicians, statesmen and stars of both the stage and screen over the years, the hotel is to host the nation’s top bus drivers on 5 and 6 September. The move, agreed following a fact-finding visit by BDoY Council members, promises an uplift in quality, service and accommodation.

The Imperial Hotel Blackpool is a grand 19th century hotel recalling the glamour of this Blackpool’s Victorian heyday with all the comforts of modern life. It enjoys spectacular sea views and is ideally located close to the BDoY National Final starting point.
