Ben Werth has been appointed Chief Commercial Officer at Wrightbus. He will take up the role alongside his current position as Managing Director of Wrightbus’ sister company Fuze Finance.
A former director in charge of asset finance at Mistral Group and with more than 26 years experience in the bus industry, Ben will oversee all sales and commercial activity for the firm. He will work alongside Managing Director Neil Collins to ensure a focus on both internal sales operations and external customer requirements. In his role with Fuze Finance, Ben has already been working closely alongside John McLeister, Wrightbus’ Sales and Business Development Director.
Ben said: “I am delighted to be taking on this new role. Having worked alongside John and his team for the last few months it is apparent that the level of recent successes and the projected growth strategy provided an opportunity for me to complement the current sales and business development team on their continued journey to becoming market leader within the zero-emission bus sector.”
In addition to Ben’s appointment, Wrightbus has also announced that it has opened a recruitment office at its factory in Ballymena, in a bid to continue growing its team.
Last year, the company said it was looking for hundreds more staff following an increase in orders. In recent weeks, the firm has announced international deals with firms in Australia and Germany, as well as a major deal in the Republic of Ireland. Neil Collins, Managing Director, said: “The opening of our recruitment office is another fantastic step forward for us as we continue to expand, thanks to a surge of orders from the UK, Ireland and overseas.
“We’ve had a phenomenal couple of years and it’s an incredibly exciting time to join Wrightbus. If you want to be a part of our world-leading team, come and find out more by stopping by and visiting our new recruitment office.”
