A teenager from Bexhill has bagged £500 after entering a competition last month. Toby Godfree, 14, found a lucky code on board the Stagecoach open-top bus in Hastings this summer. “I never thought I’d actually win,” he said.

“I saw the poster on the bus and thought I’d try my luck.”

The competition, set-up in conjunction with More Radio, was launched back in July and Toby was randomly selected from over 500 correct entries.

Local Stagecoach Operations Manager, Louise Sills, presented Toby with his £500 prize at the St Leonard’s bus depot on Tuesday.

Louise said: “The open-top bus was all about seaside fun and adventure and the competition rounds off a fantastic season.

“It’s not every day that people get to see behind the scenes at the bus depot, and it was a pleasure to meet Toby and his Mum and show them round.”
