John Sinclair enjoyed James Day’s article on East Yorkshire’s new livery, introduced following a takeover by Go-Ahead last year (CBW1384). By contrast, this week’s Big Picture is one of John’s taken in Beverley in 1964 and shows East Yorkshire’s coach and service bus livery of the time as applied to two Roe-bodied Leyland Titan PD2/12s. New in 1952, the buses had coach seats, large luggage racks and platform doors for the Hull to Scarborough service.
