Arriva Slovenia has placed 45 new Mercedes Benz Intouros in service on its regional and suburban routes across Slovenia. The biggest individual investment into public passenger bus transport in Slovenia ever, both by number of vehicles and in financial terms, the buses will offer passengers a more comfortable and more sustainable way to travel.
Arriva expects an annual saving of 60.000 litres of diesel, and consequent reduction in CO2 emissions. Another 20 buses are due to follow next year. CEO of distributor Autocommerce Slovenija Rasto Oderlap handed over the first of the new buses to Bo Karlsson, CEO of Arriva Slovenija, in the presence of Slovenian State Secretary for Transport Alenka Bratusek.
