McGill’s-owned Bright Bus Tours, originally set up by First Bus to compete against incumbent operator Lothian’s popular tours, is celebrating its fourth birthday with a number of events for customers, staff and local businesses including giveaways, cakes and cash prizes. An on-board scavenger hunt saw one winner receive £400 in holiday vouchers and the company’s on-street team gave away 10 lucky scratchcards away with top prizes of £40 Amazon vouchers.

Celebrations also included the launch of its ‘Bright Bus-iness’ networking events, a chance for local businesses to connect and find ways to work together. The first event, held in partnership with the Edinburgh Chamber of Commerce, saw their members, Bright Bus Tours partners and other local businesses come together for a birthday celebration and VIP tour.

General Manager at Bright Bus Tours Gregor Forbes said: “Our birthday celebrations were a great opportunity to say thanks to our valued customers, build relationships with other local businesses in the city and have some fun, which is what Bright Bus is all about. This celebration marks four years of success and our fifth year looks to be even brighter with a number of exciting plans taking shape for the year ahead.”

The current fleet includes EUE 489, which carries a revised branding. RICHARD WALTER
