The Women in Bus initiative was launched by Go-Ahead Group earlier this year as a way of building a more balanced workforce, the aim being to attract more women to a career in the industry. Peter Jackson reports
If you’re reading this, chances are you’re well aware of the opportunities a career in the bus industry can provide. From apprentice or graduate level through to retirement, from finance to engineering, bus operators have something for everyone. Unfortunately though, many outside the industry don’t view it in such a positive light – and women are far less likely to consider a career involving passenger transport.
