A pair of articulated Citaro Gs have been ordered by the airport for 2017

The UK’s fifth largest airport outside London, Bristol Airport has a history of Mercedes-Benz Citaro purchases, taking delivery of the UK’s first Euro 6 Citaros in 2014 and an additional order for two Citaros in 2015.

Its latest order is for two Citaro Gs for 2017.

The 18-metre three-door articulated buses feature City Star Eco upholstery and ambient interior lighting throughout. Extended luggage racking, a driver microphone/speaker system and LED destination displays with interior display screen are also specified.

Power to the two Citaros is delivered by the Mercedes-Benz OM 470, 265kW engine paired with a six-speed ZF EcoLife automatic gearbox.

Andy Greenway, Area Sales Manager, Mercedes-Benz Bus, added: “It is fantastic to work with Bristol Airport again so soon.

“We have a long history of supplying high specification Citaros to them, with the first being delivered in 2007.

“Not only do they provide a service of exceptional quality, but it’s great to see Bristol Airport have chosen the Citaro once more to deliver the standard of comfort and luxury passengers have come to expect.”
