Leicester City Transport’s (LCT) first Dominator was East Lancs-bodied 233 which was officially handed over on 28 October 1977. LCT General Manager Geoffrey Hilditch is to the left of the Lord Mayor, as you look at them in the picture. Others are representatives from Hestair Dennis, East Lancashire Coachbuilders, and Leicester City Council. Alongside is the famous 1925 Dodson-bodied Dennis 4-ton, then owned by Prince Marshall’s Obsolete Fleet, and both buses then toured the city so guests could try 233. STUART RENDER
