Caetano has launched a right-hand drive version of its Iveco Daily 70C17-bodied iTrabus for the UK market.

The vehicle serves as a successor to the Caetano Optimo, though with a different capacity. The latest variant of the Optimo was released in October 2012, but the vehicle achieved low sales. Caetano UK claims to have addressed the shortcomings of the vehicle with its new midicoach, which can carry up to 29 passenger seats.

The vehicle is available with a Euro 6 Fiat powertrain, delivering 170hp. It offers the ZF Hi-Matic eight-speed automatic transmission, fitted alongside a Telma retarder.

The vehicle has a maximum gross vehicle weight of 7.2 tonnes (unladen weight of 5.25 tonnes) with an overall length of 8.43m.
