Sittingbourne-based Chalkwell Coach Hire has partnered with FleetConnect to roll out upgraded WiFi across its bus network. The new solution will see eleven systems deployed on buses serving the town and nearby communities, including the Isle of Sheppey.
Managing Director Roland Eglinton said: “People are looking for the best connectivity as part of the journey, whether it is to school, work, shopping or anything else. From the initial discussions with FleetConnect, I was very impressed with their knowledge and attention to detail, plus they are a local business. Nationwide providers have their place, but as an SME operator we felt this was a good fit, and so far we have been really impressed.”
FleetConnect is a specialist in fleet connectivity solutions. Having established WiFi services in Ireland for the past 15 years, the company launched into the UK in 2024, with offices and a dedicated team now based in Kent and London. The company says its UK expansion marked a significant milestone in its mission to revolutionise transport connectivity.
