By the time many of you read this issue, we’ll already be in December, with “the big day” less that four weeks away. Whether you’re particularly religious or just appreciate the spirit and atmosphere of Christmas, there’s no getting away from it, and the coach and bus sector is no exception. It has become a tradition for Scottish Citylink to operate a specially-liveried coach during the festive season, and this year’s has to be one of the most remarkable Christmas-themed coaches or buses we’ve seen.
The double-deck Plaxton Panorama has been wrapped with a special knitted Christmas jumper design which is certainly eye-catching, even if it does make the coach look somewhat blurred from a distance!

Customers travelling with the operator can win a custom Christmas jumper of their own as part of a festive competition, and the special festive jumpers are being sold in its Glasgow and Edinburgh travel centres to raise funds for Save The Children.
The Christmas coach was launched on 13 November and will operate on the 900 between Edinburgh and Glasgow for six weeks. Citylink Marketing Manager Nicola Campbell said: “We’re excited to bring a bit of festive colour to the roads this winter with our Christmas coach and we hope it will spread some festive cheer to those who spot it, or maybe it’ll inspire our customers ahead of this year’s Christmas Jumper Day.”
