The vehicles will transport staff to and from the organisation’s Saint Hill Manor headquarters

Alexander Dennis Limited (ADL) has delivered seven new Enviro200 midi buses to the Church of Scientology UK.

The vehicles will be based at Saint Hill Manor, near East Grinstead, West Sussex, which is the church’s UK headquarters. They will transport many of the 400 staff based there to and from their home town of Crowborough, which is 14 miles away across the Ashdown Forest.

All seven of the new Enviro200s are 8.9m, 29-seater vehicles. The organisation said they were purchased after a period of extensive market research.

Graeme Wilson, Public Affairs Director at the Church of Scientology, commented: “We were keen to match fuel economy, low emissions and manoeuvrability with reliability, durability, longevity and overall performance.

“The Enviro200 meets all of these criteria and also has a clean, modern and stylish look. Crucially, the combination of reduced fuel economy and low emissions puts it in the vanguard of the industry in terms of being environmentally friendly, which is a major factor for us when travelling through green belt, villages and towns.”
