Claes Jacobsson, currently Senior Vice President Financial Services for Scania CV AB and based at the company’s HQ in Södertälje, Sweden, has been appointed MD of Scania (Great Britain) with effect from September 1, 2013. He succeeds Hans-Christer Holgersson, who will continue with board assignments within Scania.
Jacobsson joined Scania CV AB in 1999 as Director, Business Development Customer Finance. He progressed to Head of Scania Customer Finance before being appointed to his current role in 2003.
Jacobsson said: “The UK has been a key market for Scania for almost 50 years and I look forward to continuing to build upon the foundations laid by my predecessors. I would like to thank Holgersson, with whom I have worked closely for 14 years. I wish him every success for the future.”
