Classic buses from several operators carried thousands of passengers over three days during a shuttle service from Chichester to the Goodwood Revival in Sussex. More than a dozen historic vehicles were involved in the operation from 13-16 September, which was run by Stagecoach.

They included former Metro-Cammell-bodied Salford City Transport Leyland PD2, JRJ281E, owned by Chris Pearce, a part-time revenue inspector with Stagecoach South, and which was making its first journey in revenue earning service in 40 years. Chris, who is also Managing Director of heritage operator Southdown Vintage Vehicles Ltd also provided Massey-bodied Leyland PD2, registration DEK3D, new to Wigan Corporation in 1966, and 1965 ex-Southdown ‘Queen Mary’ Leyland PD3/4 BUF260C.
