Members of the Coach Drivers North & South (CDNS) group on Facebook have donated £550 to the Neonatal Unit at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary.

The sum serves in memory of little Hope who was the granddaughter of one of its members, John Paterson. Born premature, Hope was immediately transferred into the neonatal unit where she was looked after for 10 weeks before she sadly lost her life.

CDNS group owner Neil Edmonstone told CBW: “Visiting the unit was humbling to say the least. It was wonderful to see the care and attention the nursing staff give. We also had great delight in handing over £550.00 that was raised through our fantastic group. To everyone who donated a huge thanks, the money will be channeled back in to the ward.”

John said: “I hope this money raised can be put to good use by the superb staff at the hospital. I’m still overwhelmed and eternally grateful for the support I received from the members of CDN&S.”
