With Birmingham 2022 being one of the most significant sporting events since the London 2012 Olympics, Richard Sharman takes a look at the various services provided to transport the masses throughout the two week spectacle

Birmingham successfully completed hosting the 2022 Commonwealth Games, after proceedings kicked off with an opening ceremony on Thursday 28 July at the Alexander Stadium prior to the Games getting under way the following day. Spectators were then treated to 11 days of sporting action at venues across the West Midlands.
