Director of CPT Scotland Paul White gives a run-down of the recent CPT Scotland Conference

The CPT Scotland Conference returned this year on 2 and 3 October at the Glasgow Hilton Hotel. The event has long been regarded as the pre-eminent event for Scotland’s coach and bus sectors but has been on hiatus since late 2019. However, I am pleased to say we hit the ground running this year thanks to the tremendous work of the new CPT Scotland team and the generosity of our conference partners Volvo Bus UK, Asset Alliance and Mellor; our sponsors MCV Bus & Coach, TD Tyres, PSV Glass & Glazing, and McKenna Brothers, and our supporters EPM, Ticketer, Rock Road, Alexander Dennis, Ferrymill Motors, and Backhouse Jones.

The theme of this year’s event was ‘progress through partnership’ and focused on how we collectively surmount the challenges facing the coach and bus sectors. How do we generate the public support and political will to create an environment where we can improve services, generate patronage growth, and unlock the myriad benefits of bus and coach use?
