The city of Coventry is hosting an event aimed at encouraging coach parties to visit the area. The Coventry Transport Museum will host a Group Travel Day on Monday 28 October, arranged by travel trade specialists Steve Reed Tourism in conjunction with partner Daish’s Holidays. The organisers say the event will be the perfect port of call for group travel organisers and tour planners from around the country as well as from the Midlands, and provides an opportunity for operators and destinations to get together. The Coventry event will follow on from a similar one being held on Monday 13 May at the RHS Bridgewater Garden near Manchester.

In Blackpool, meanwhile, the StayBlackpool Trade Show and Open Day 2024 will bring together the what it promises to be the best of the accommodation trade in one place at a new venue at the Fylde town’s Norbreck Castle Hotel. Taking place on Tuesday 19 March from 1000 to 1600hrs, the organisers say the new venue offers an excellent environment. Entry is free, and StayBlackpool has invited over 2,000 Fylde coast holiday accommodation providers, representing hotels, guest houses, B&Bs and self-catering apartments in the Blackpool and Fylde areas, as well as local cafés, bars and other food and drink venues.
