CPT UK has promoted Paul White to Director, Scotland, replacing George Mair, who will remain with CPT Scotland as Development Manager on a part-time basis.
In his previous position of Deputy Director CPT Scotland, Paul was instrumental in shaping CPT Scotland’s response to the Transport (Scotland) Bill and spearheading efforts to reform retrofit funding to the benefit of coach and bus operators.
Speaking about the changes, CPT Chief Executive Graham Vidler said: “Paul is an excellent choice to build on CPT Scotland’s strong reputation and I very much look forward to working closely with him.
“It’s also great news that our current Director, George Mair, will remain with us on a part-time basis to help ensure an effective transition, working with Paul to maintain CPT Scotland’s excellent reputation while developing member relationships throughout Scotland.
“Paul and I will also be working on the longer-term structure for CPT Scotland and I am committed to giving him the resources he needs to support the industry in the future.”
Paul has an MA (Hons) Politics from Glasgow University and an MSc Public Policy from Strathclyde University.
He is a past Chair of the Scottish Transport Studies Group and is a Board Member of SEStran, the South East of Scotland Transport Partnership.
Paul and George take up their new posts on Monday 8 July.
