A tie-up between the CPT and training provider Lloyd Morgan Group will give CPT members beneficial rates on training courses of all kinds, reports Jonathan Welch
Training, both initial and ongoing, is a vital part of running a safe and compliant operation. Whether it be for drivers, engineers, operational or administrative staff, a coach or bus business in this tightly regulated sector should always be striving to ensure it keeps on top of its training requirements, not just to keep its licence clean but to ensure it is providing the best service possible.
With this in mind, the CPT recently expanded its range of offerings available to members to help keep their knowledge base up to date. On Thursday 31 March, in partnership with Lloyd Morgan Group, the trade body launched CPT Training, a new proposition designed to develop industry skills and support compliance through effective training solutions. The launch event was held at trentbarton’s head office in Heanor, Derbyshire, hosted by the operator’s CEO Jeff Counsell and attended by North West Traffic Commissioner Gerallt Evans.
The CPT said its new partnership with experienced training provider Lloyd Morgan will offer the most comprehensive range of coach and bus industry training courses available. CPT members will benefit from an exclusive discount on the new training courses, which will include Transport Manager Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC), including CPC refresher courses; vehicle inspector training with optional IRTEC accreditation, and driver CPC periodic training.
