The Western Isles is almost the only place in Scotland where all public transport is provided by local companies. None of the bigger bus operators or groups are represented. Richard Walter discovers how one of them, Lochs Motor Transport has morphed from being a provider of local bus services into one operating a modern fleet of coaches that meet the demands of both the private hire market and tourist industry

Set in the beautiful Outer Hebrides, the islands of Lewis and Harris have challenges faced by few other areas of the UK.
