Louise Webster from Acklams Coaches and Beverley Williams-Smith from Kew Green Hotels have joined the Coach Tourism Association’s board of directors.
The Coach Tourism Association (CTA) has welcomed two new board members, expanding the organisation’s capabilities with coach tour operator and hotel management experience. European Tours Manager at Acklams Coaches Louise Webster and Head of Sales and Partnerships UK & Inbound at Kew Green Hotels Beverley Williams-Smith have both recently joined the CTA’s board of directors.
With more than 20 years in the industry and a degree in Business Management, Louise has held her role at Acklams Coaches for three years, following experience at Great Rail Journeys, National Holidays, and P&O. She commented: “I was delighted to be appointed onto the board. I attend many events, I am passionate about our industry, and I am very happy to help spread the word about the advantages of CTA membership to fellow coach operators. It’s great that the CTA brings suppliers and operators together to make more informed choices. I hope to offer a fresh viewpoint and a positive energy to the board.”
Also with over 20 years in the industry, Beverley has been at hotel management services provider Kew Green Hotels, which also has a UK portfolio of nearly 50 hotels, since 2009. She commented: “This role presents an exciting opportunity to enhance the collaboration between operators and hoteliers, and I look forward to the insights and experiences that this position will provide. Together with my fellow board members, I am committed to advancing the goals of the association and making a positive impact in coach tourism. My focus will be on sharing knowledge and insights, which I believe is crucial for mutual understanding and growth within our industry.”
CTA Chair and Director of Harry Shaw Coaches Robert Shaw said: “On behalf of the organisation, I’m delighted that Louise and Beverley have joined the CTA board. As our members know, the aim of the CTA is to bring solutions to shared challenges, and to help develop new product for coach tourism consumers. Reinforcing our board of directors with the addition of Louise and Beverley, who have a combined total of more than 40 years tourism experience, will further enhance our ability to achieve our goals and address the challenges of the future.”
