Daimler delivers major order in South Tyrol

Daimler has delivered a large order of Setra and Mercedes-Benz buses to operators in South Tyrol. DAIMLER BUSES

Daimler Buses has delivered a total of 265 Setra and Mercedes-Benz buses to several private bus companies in South Tyrol, located on the borders of Austria and Switzerland in northern Italy. The vehicles delivered via Daimler Buses Italia to operators in the South Tyrol region including Auto Rainer, Pizzinini Bus & Mobility and Silbernagl, and will be used to provide services under contract to Alto Adige Mobilità (South Tyrol Mobil).

The delivery comprises 209 Setra S 415 LE, 47 Mercedes-Benz Intouro and nine Mercedes-Benz Citaro vehicles. The new buses will be used to transport both tourists and local passengers through the valleys of Aurina, Alta Badia and Vitipeno, Val Venosta and Val Pusteria in the South Tyrol region. The new Euro VI city and intercity buses are painted in a unified bright and vivid green colour.

The 209 two-axle, 12 metre S 415 LE low-entry intercity buses feature 45 seats and space for 42 standees. The 47 Mercedes-Benz Intouro intercity buses are equipped with a double-width centre door, 49 seats, 42 standing spaces and a wheelchair space. These are joined by nine Mercedes-Benz Citaro rigid and articulated buses.
